Radeon 7500 - Fast Write

Hey guys, having a little issue...

For the first, like, 6 months of having this computer SmartGart (ATI Control Panel) always kept the "Fast Write" capability of my Radeon 7500 enabled. However, for the last, I don't know how many, months...It always disables the Fast Write feature following the reboot immediately after turning it on.

Any ideas what could be, now, causing this to happen?

Couldn't tell you why, it's prolly cuz smartgart decided it makes the config unstable. If isn't impacting your stabillity, i wouldn't worry about it. Fast writes are pretty much bullsh*t.

It goes along with 4x/8x...Not much of an increase in performance either way you go. I would just let the system do what it wants here. They say that fast write can sometimes make your system unstable at times too.
