I'm new to overclocking so any help would be appreciated. My system is as follows:-
FIC VA-503+ mobo
AMD K6-2 500 Mhz CPU
128 Mb SDRAM
Creative GeForce GTS graphics card
Quantum Fireball lct10 15Gb hard drive
Creative 128 sound card
Mat****a 24 speed CD-ROM
Hewlett Packard 9150 CD writer
all living in a mini AT case
I would like to get some extra perfomance out of my system. I realise that I should invest in some heatsink paste and a case cooler. Should I flash my BIOS? I know that a 550Mhz flash is available from FIC. What voltage should I use? Should I use a 112Mhz FSB or leave it at 100Mhz and up the clock multiplier to 5.5? Any comments or tips would really be appreciated. Cheers.

yo man
check out the post to jato re. k62's and overclocking the suckers u should easily get to 550mhz following the same path and could get up to 600mhz..ish with the k62500 cpu u have , I don't know much about your mobo m8 whats the highest multiplier on it ie. 5.0 X , 5.5 X or 6.0 X and the fsb speeds
the cpu core voltages will be roughly the same as posted

cheers
