Which form of overclocking is safer - Multiplier or FSB?

Which produces more heat as I don't want too much as I can't find a good HSF (I live in Ireland)?

I don't want to fry the TBird as it's only 2 weeks old and I paid over £170 for it (That's over $250).

At the moment I have my 1Ghz TBird (Don't know what core colour) running at 1050 just by upping the FSB by 5 in the KT7-RAID bios.

Cheers

FSB tweaking puts more stress on the mobo, PCI slots, graphic card, while multiplier increases do stress your processor more.

I tried to run at an FSB of 109, but the system was not stable. Dropped it down to 107 - 1070 mhz - now

Yes, exactly what I have experienced. Windows will not boot at anything above 1080 with me. It must be the VIA chipset.

I am running PC-133. In the bios I can set the memory to run at FSB speed (100Mhz normal) or at FSB+PCI (133Mhz Normal). When overclocking, I set it to run at FSB speed only, so when I up the FSB to 108Mhz, the memory is only running at this speed too, instead of 141Mhz.
But it still won't load windows.
