How many looking forward to deus ex 2 [Archive]

Average game LOL......!!

Depends wether u like the brain dead "if it moves shoot it" style of game like doom, quake, unreal etc etc.........

Or wether your brain can handle a bit of strategy for games like "deus ex" that actually require you to think a little.......

Deus Ex 2 has had very good write ups and looks to be a good game, i finshed the first 4 times, but doubt i'll get this one as i'm more into the "if it moves shoot it" style games now........ purely because i aint got the patience to sneak around and stuff.....lol...

So it depends what you're into!.....

But please, don't diss a good game before you've seen it, played it, or even read about it..........

anyways I've always heard good things about Deus Ex, though I have never played it. Perhaps ill check it out in the bargin bins this summer.

Thats my opinion, I played the 1st DE, and I deleted it after few minutes, it was boring, REALLY BORING.
Ive seen trailers of DE2 and its nothing impressive.

It seems like there are almost as many sequels to games this year as there are to movies. DX2 will probably be good game but it has to compete with Doom 3 and HL2. I just hope the prices of those DX9 Radeons drop below $150 in time...

Speaking of Deus Ex, I am playing it right now for the first time. Very nice game.

I loved Deus Ex 1, at the time I had a crummy PC so i got it for PS2. Even though the graphics weren’t very nice the game was amazing. Deus Ex really gets you thinking and using your brain. Sure Half-Life 2 and Doom ]|[ will be great fun but they don’t compare to the ingenious design of the Deus Ex games. :)

When I hear people say things like "Deus Ex blows", or "it's boring", the first thing I want to do is grab a big lead pipe and... nevermind.

I really feel sorry for you guys who don't like games like Deus and the Thief games. I'm all for a first-person twitch-game now and then but something about the first person stealth games really grabs me. The gameplay is deeper, more rich... and hey, imagine having a real story.

So continue your brain-dead gaming if you must... just know that you are missing out on some awesome experiences. If you ever wonder what that hollow feeling is when you're done with 6 hours of mindless fragging, and want to know how to fix it... pop Deus Ex back in the drive and give it a chance.

Yeah, I'm really looking forward to it, considering the first is one of my favorite games, but the only problem is IT COMES OUT AFTER THE SUMMER :mad: It seems like all the good games like Doom3, Half-life2, Halo, DX2, and the rest of them are coming out after the summer when I actually have the time to play them. Once school starts, I'm going to be way too busy. :( Oh well, I'll just have to go with the war3 expansion for now.

I played Deus Ex all the way through and enjoyed it quite a bit. I'm just glad I'm taking easy courses my senior year so I can work more and buy a new graphics card along with all these games :)

I played MP once and got a few laughs out of it but nothing more. I thought it was perhaps the worst MP ever. Again, Deus Ex is still my favorite game of all time, but the MP just stinks.

I must be one of the only ones who really liked dxmp :( sure it was very unpolished, obviously because it was an add-on but I loved the originality of it. Oh and deus ex is definitely my favorite pc game and I am really looking forward to dx2. It looks like they are taking the awesome gameplay from the first game and combining it with awesome graphics and an awesome physics engine.

They've added lots of little bits that really make a game that little bit more fun, like the sounds of closing doors and windows smashing attracting the guards...... ok maybe not the best part, but its little features like these that add to the game.....

Anybody wanna lend me their copy when they buy it, coz i aint paying to play DX2....... not my kinda game, but i wanna test it out! :) ;)

I am definitely among those who are really looking forward to DX:IW. While I enjoy a good fragfest as much as the next guy, I need a game to be trully intelligent in its design and content to really hold my attention. I have never played any game that did this better than DX.

I just realized that the above sounds fairly arrogant but oh well, post away.

SystemShock series and Deus Ex are trully incredible games. Dark, spooky, plot line twists... the works.

Those who dont like it; I said it before, and will say it again, go watch pokemon.

I dont really care for this game, the 1st DX didnt really impress me.

Count me in as well ...Ive been looking foward to DW;IW for a long time...It again will push the standards for what a game can be....HalfLife,system shock 2 and Dues Ex were all great inovative games that forced game developers to step out of the cookie cutter game production mode....game developers take note!...that said I think Half life 2 may give DX;IW a run for its money... and HL2 is coming out first.... STALKER CHUD( what ever the spelling) and FAR CRY also look promising....DOOM3 i fear will be much like Q3 with out the multiplayer

Wacha talkign about Willis? DX2 is first, (Late June/ Early July I believe?).

It is true that HL2 might be a bit bigger and better, since it has more funding and so forth, but the style of the game makes up for it. I absolutely loved being godlike at the end of the first game. Turn on all the augments, and go guns blazing quake style :D Plus the story is a bit darker and more twisted.
