I'm soon going to order a R9800 256 VRAM and i wanted to know if my 256 MB of RAM and AXP 2100 will be a bottle neck

To some extent, yep....A faster cpu would be nice...or overclock like mad!
Some more RAM may help games load a bit faster as well....

Ok i will soon be ocing my cpu to the limt when i finsh up my custom phase change unit.
In the case of the 9800, any system will be a bottleneck to some extent.

what if i got it to 3ghz:rolleyes:
Yeah as long as its not a 3ghz Intel. That would still be a bottleneck.
this bottleneck stuff is just a gimmick, theres no point on running this card up to 400fps if the system is up to it... just put some stress on it and crank up the detail, that should take advantage of it even with your current system or mine

would my Monitor hold me back. Its a IBM Aptiva Monitor
not exactly... if your system spits 160FPS and your monitor works at 85 max you will only see 85 even though the computer proceses the whole deal... its not that it will slow down the system but it wont display it as it should either

but would i lose any detail in games
i dont think so, just make sure your monitor works at the max rated fps for that resolution and it shouldnt flicker nor get blurry
