First let me state for the record...As if you didn't know, Yep this is my first attempt at this and yes I've read numerous FAQs but still need help. Go figure. Word for the day patience, my synapses are slow from many years of hops and barley.
Bot a T-Bird 1.0 GHZ and a TAI SOL fan (or something like that).
Got an Epox 8KTA3. Don't ask why I didn't get the KT7A, I didn',t besides there were some good reviews on the 8KTA3 and I saved a few clams.
Now, do I still have to do the pencil thingy even though I've got this new fangled mobo?
If yes, pretend I'm that chic you're trying to impress and explain it nice and slooow por favor... Which pencil and what do I connect? If I manage to do that right, then what? Back down the multiplier and up the bus speed and voltage? Or what?
If no, what do I do now? If I set the jumper on the mobo to 133 no post, no signal to the monitor, nada! Do I leave the jumper at 100 and just up the bus speed incrementally as far as I can? What do I do to the PCI/BUS/CPU ratio menu.
