well i got my sunon tornado fan in today and installed it (also reseated the heatsink, which i think was not quite right) and my temps went waaay down from what they were. noise levels skyrocketed, of course  but i'll survive i think. right now i am running 36c @ load with an ambient temp of 18c at 2.2ghz (1.55v) i want to get to 2400 or 2500 mhz, but im not sure what the highest voltages i should use are. also, what is worse for you cpu? high voltages or high temps? if you have the chip running really cold but at 2.2v, (i wont because im not that crazy) but if it runs at say 10c at that temps, is it safe? Thanks a bunch! i want to get this rig cooking! (hopefully not cooking eggs, though.)

High temps = bad.

High voltage = not necessarily bad unless you don't have anything to cool the heat.

keep the temps low. voltage is okay as long as you have adequate cooling like hog said.

btw, noise is good. makes your rig sound like it has some balls!

High voltage usually equals high temps unless you have some good cooling to keep it pretty low. High voltage isn't necessarily bad as long as the chip is kept cool. High voltage also causes electromigration and can in the long run decrease the life span of the CPU if it is running high voltage for a long period of time. As long as your voltage doesn't exceed 2v and your temps don't go over 55C, you should be fine.
