Alright, I just picked up a Duron 800 with an Abit KT7a. Just want to know, if I can use my PEP-66 heatsink that I bought thats sitting around on it? FUrtermore, I wanna run this thing at 1gig, and I know about the pencil trick but would like to know the EXACT bridges to close just so I don't screw up anything. Thx. diagram is appreciated, or any photo's/links. Thanks in advance.
I don't know about the PEP-66, but I have a link to the unlocking the myltiplier thing: http://www.athlonoc.com/unlocking.htm
U should close the L1 bridges, like they are at the bottom pic.
Don't mind the other bridges, just do the L1.

u have to do the pep66 mod cos it won't fit on the KT7 like it is right now. it's a simple mod, u just have to move the fan from the side to the top.
I just got my duron 800. And I love it. First try and it run 1000Mhz without any problem. CPU temp. 39C. I use an Abit KT7 mobo which I love too. Here are the tricks and news about Duron 800:
