I don't know why, but...Deleware
WHERE DO YOU GET BIOS UPDATES FOR THIS BOARD. There is no mention of this board on abit's website. I have heard of people updating bios, which fixes quite a few problems for this board.

I do see in beta drivers they have an update for the is7-g bios. Would this work for the is7?

I flashed the Beta BIOS on my IS7 and it works fine. Most problems withe i865E and i875P boards deal with DDR timings. I had to set my Corsair PC3200 XMS memory at 2-4-4-8 to run properly. You also should consider initially setting the FSB:DDR ratio to 3:2 to eliminate memory issues.

BTW, the first line of the IS7G_13B1 text document states:

New Fixes/Features
1. Supported IS7-G/IS7/IS7-E mainboard.

So I don't know why it's identified as an IS7-G BIOS in the first place.

Yeah, it works fine after about 10 seconds. Initially it reads the CPU temp very high, somewhere between 66C and 73C. But then it settles down to a more reasonable 43C.
