i have a AMD k6-2 500 mhz.
right now the fsb is at 100 mhz and the clock multiplier is at 5.0
could i change the fsb to like 133 mhz??
i'm fairly new to overclocking stuff.
thx!
Probably not. The K6-2 has a hard enough time with 100 MHz FSB... You might be able to clock up to 105-110 MHz, but your best bet is to bump the multiplier up to 5.5. Don't count on anything better than 550-600MHz, the K6-2 just wont do much better....

The multiplier is unlocked in the k6 series chips all you need to do is change the multiplier on the board either with jumpers or in the bios. I got mine to post at 630(6x105) but it wouldn't quite make it into windows got registry errors.
Your ability to overclock a K6-2 will depend on what motherboard and BIOS you have. If you can't adjust anything in your BIOS, you have to check your mobo specs to see if you can change anything by jumper. K6-2s are not a real good chip for overclocking anyway.
