Hi, i recently purchased a kt7a the 133 motherboard from abit, along with a duron 800 and a FOP 38. For some strange reason when i run games they seem to be preforming signifigantly worse than my old celeron 850. In q3 im getting a fps rate of 108 and under at 640 resolution which is strange since my celeron use to do 115. Even online sites like tomshardware and firingsquad have durons doing 130 fps. I know its not any settings because ive gone over all those little tweaks that you can do and ive reinstalled video drivers numerous times (asus geforce2mx) aswell as the VIA 4-in-1 drivers (4.25a newest release) Even in 3dmark my score is relatively low, if i overclock to 933 @133 fsb it scores 5022 tops, where as i see people getting 6000 at the same clock rate, and i even get beat by 800 durons even when my processor is overclocked. I just dont get how this system can be preforming slower than my old celeron on basically every application i run, even if i overclock the duron to 1ghz or 933 it still runs slow, especially in nhl2k1 which locks up almost all the time. I tried upping the voltage on the cpu but it makes no diffrence. Ive tried basically every i could possibly think of it yet im having no luck. Please respond as soon as possible i don't know whether i have any grounds for returning it to the store, they said if its working then they cant do nothing, but how do u define "working". It feels like a downgrade more than an upgrade!!
