am completely REBUILDING my entire computer. not keeping ANYTHING!!!! (except my SBLive! card)
here's what i'm building:

KT7a-RAID
Duron 650
64Meg pc133
300watt PSU w/ case
SBLive! X-Gamer 5.1
Abit Silurio GeForce2 MX
Maxtor 30 7 gig 7200 UDMA100

i'm gonna pay:
1067.75 canadian.
It's not that bad of a comp. I'll buy the ram and video last in case i have some spare money, so i could get more RAM. heres my old comp:

looks pretty good, hopefully you can get a couple of hundred more MHz from that Duron though...

indeed 64mb's is kinda scary. Curious on one thing however, seeing how cheap the thunderchickens have become why go duron? I wonder just how much more overclockable they are compared to tbirds.....

My (limited) understanding is that the TB normally runs at 1.75 volts, while the Duron is 1.55. So, without doing a voltage mod on your board, you have a lot more room to play with a Duron. My A7V is limited to 1.85V, so you can clearly jack up the Duron much higher.
