I dont get what the difference is between regular memory and hyper-X. I heard that it had something to do with Nforce2.

Hyper-X is just a name. Its a line of memory made by Kingston that uses good chips and can hit pretty damn high speeds. Of course, that comes a little bit of a price premium.

Hyper X can run tighter timings than the Value series (both by Kingston)

it is actually called marketing ...they want to sell their product so they put a nice snazzy name on it if you want to call it that..:)

Cas 2 versus 2.5 or 3...Faster and will overclock much better than the "value ram"...:)
