I was running a thermalright ax-7 and a delta 80mm ehe series screemer..( real nice temps) but WAY to loud..

I have just fitted a Thermaltake Smart Fan 2 to the ax7 and lost 5c!!

The smart fans comes with: an adjustable rpm dial and a temp probe small enough to fit inside the ziff socket or where ever..

Mine is on the base of the cpu.. and with my barton 2500 @ 2.3ghz the smart fan never goes above 3k rpm.. and you carnt hear it!!

Just thought i'd recomend it..

I've got the SF2 on an SLK-800 running full speed all the time and I don't go over 46C. (XP2100@2363, 1.86V)

I can also run it past its specified speeds with the nexus multipanel, but it's too much for this fan and the hub gets way too hot, so I try to keep it around its specified speeds. The noise doesn't bother me after dealing with a 92mm Tornado.
