They say it's guaranteed to run stable at 1GHz... there is a little green sticker over the L1 bridges that I thought I had to connect. I guess this means they've already done that? Anyone know for sure? I'm trying to get to their website but I can't get there from here (work comp).
Also there is a sticky pink square on the back of the FOP38 heatsink&fan that came with it... Am I right in thinking I need to scrape this off and use some thermal grease?
Thanks for any replies, I am a total newbie but very interested and willing to learn! Also, I have an Abit KT7A-RAID, how fast do you think I can get?

I don't know about the sticker for sure but if it will run at 1G the bridges are probably already closed. You are right about the pink stuff scrape it off it sucks compared to paste I ran mine with it for a while, temps droped 10c when I started using Arctic silver thermal paste and I was able to get another 50MHz.

Presumably if they've covered the L1s it is unlocked, and they don't want anyone messing with them and then complaining. As Shep said, get rid of that pink stuff and put on a thin layer of arctic silver. With the Kt7a-RAID and the FOP, I'd have thought you could get quite a bit above 1gig - probably to 1050 or 1100. Good luck with it :-)

They mod them with a pencil, and put the sticker on top to cover it up and stop ya messing with it and rubbing the lead away...
