I doubt anyone can give you even a rough percentage - you generally only hear from the guys who have crushed the cores, not from peeps who have had no problems. I'd say I've heard from enough people (a good dozen or so) with horror-stories to stop me ever trying a gorb on my socket A cpu. Remember the gorb isn't designed for socket A, it isn't sold as such, so you shouldn't expect it to work at all, just because a socket 370 and a socket 462 look similar.

The clip on the GORB doesn't fit well on AMD's. That's why people have trouble.

Yeah... and the Corb doesn't work all that well either, and it was designed to fit.

I wouldn't even attempt the gold orb. The chrome orb has a flat square base that fits nice, But the cooling isn't the greatest. I am using one on a duron 650@650 and it does ok there. I have tried it out on my tb900@1050 and it ran real hot in the 60's under load. I went to a fop32-1 and brought my temps down where I wanted them...

intel chip`s have a lower profile than amd so when you try to install this hsf on a duron or tbird it apply`s to much pressure on the chip next thing ya know...crack
