I have some problems with my new tbird 1ghz, whenever i run a heavy application or game, my computer freezes completly within a few minutes. I have a standard cooler with fan, Aopen ak73 pro, geforce 256, Creative Live soundcard. the newest detenator drivers and via drivers. My friend has the exact same components exept a TNT2 ultra, and he dont have any problems.
my cpu is around 35-45 deegres.
does anybody have an idea ?
maybe i should buy a new and stronger cooling system ? recommendations ?

sorry for my bad english..

What size power supply are you using? I had problems similar to what you describe, and It was all due to the fact that my GeForce2 was pulling WAY to much for my old power supply.
Are you overclocking the T-Bird? If so, what settings are you running, what type/how much RAM do you have, etc.

I`m useing a 250W/235 ATX powersupply. (HX45A aopen miditower)
The CPU is not clocked and i use CPU default settings.
I have 2 of PC100 64mb ram chips and one PC133 128MB ram chip. I have tried to use only one of the above ramchips but i still have the same problem.
this weekend i will try with my friends TNT2 ultra card and se if thats where my problem is.
when i am surfing the web and using Mirc, my computer works fine.
Reilly : did you change your powersupply ?

thanks for the help!
