I have an Abit KT7-RAID board with an AMD 900 T-Bird CPU.

I didn't unlock the L1 bridges but changed the multiplier in the BIOS to 9.5 then booted...then changed it back to 9.0 and rebooted again.

I was just experimenting before I unlock the bridges.

But!...now MBM tells me that I am running at 937 Mhz. ; it was always rock solid at 899-901 before.

CPU temp. right now is 29º C and the highest I've ever seen it even in the hot Summer is about 48º C.

So!...I take it that this is a good sign?

ADDENDUM:

After I warmed up to 33º C it's now back to 900 after reboot. I suppose I'll have t see what happens after I unlock and tweak. Sorry for the enthusiasm. ;)

'warmed up to 33°'? I'd love it if I cooled down to that temp. I usually run in the low 40s. If temp is the reason you backed it off, don't worry about it man.

the next time you pull your hsf off take the thermister and bend it up a little and put a little smig of thermal compound on it this will give a more acurate reading socket a board`s are known for under reading temp`s ;D

The best way to know if your temps are ok, it's when you could run rock stable! Just kidding!
Well, and about the bios readings? Oh, and your room temps? If your room temp are around 20-25C, you could use better case cooling, but if your room temp are around 27-31C, you can stop to bother about it...
