I decided to go with a better mobo, the MSI 875P Neo2 FIS2R, supposedly this board is great for OCing...

I have 2.4C, when I OC it to 2.7g bios and when the comp starts up says it is running 2.7g but in windows, WCPUID/CPU-Z/ and every program I am using to detect speed says it is running at 2.4 only still! My ABIT IC7 and Gigabyte 8IK1100 had no problems like this...

I reformated the computer and I am using basic drivers to get things going, so it cant be a conflict at all.

Any clues? TIA

Specs:
2.4C
FSB: 225 (in bios but all ID programs say I am at 200)
1 x 512MB Kingston HyperX PC3500 434MHz

what BIOS version?

if you catch me on AIM send me a message and I will hook you up with ver1.32 [beta] which has proven to be the best OCing BIOS for this board people had issues with final release 1.3[dead mobos ] and OCing not so good with 1.4

I managed 275FSB out of my 2.4C with only a bump to 1.6vcore in BIOS [actual 1.58v] rock solid and also DO NOT use the corecell feature, it sucks
