Hi I have an Athlon 800 Mhz, its on a M7MKE Biostar motherboard. I have 200Mhz bus,128 Mb PC133, 512k cache. Windows ME

On th manual theres a CPU Clock Selection : SW1
It has 4 jumpers and it tells you that by movieng them you can get different CPU clock:
100.0 102.0 104.0... to 133.33
in the buttom it says not recomended to clock speeds over 100Mhz.
SO is that it? what I like to know is that if I can over clock my coputer, and if so, ho much faster would it be?
Thank you for reading my posting.
Im new on this so Instrution on how to do it, welcome!!!

What you're talking about is really the FSB, or Front Side Bus, settings. The clock multiplier settings will be numbers like 8, 8.5, 9, 9.5, and so on. Of course the manual reccomends against setting the FSB higher than 100Mhz, no manufacturer that I know of tells you its ok to overclock. I'm not sure about your board, but my A7V will only run stable up to about 110FSB(I haven't done extensive testing with this yet). A warning about playing with the FSB: In addition to running the CPU and RAM faster, it also juices up the the PCI slots. It is possible to burn out cards in this manner, so step up carefully.

Your M7MKE is a slot A VIA KX133 mobo. As Reilly pointed out, 110 MHz is about as far as the FSB will go with that chipset. That will get the CPU to 8x110=880 MHz at best. You will need to change the multiplier to O/C any more than that. Consider getting a Golden Fingers Device (GFD) if you want to O/C more.

To be honest, you probably will only get to 106 MHz or so with the FSB. Don't worry about the PCI clock, because it's only up to 36.6 MHz with the FSB set at 110 MHz.
