seeing as how ya have the cooling done,u have 2 choices into overclocking either by ways of raising the front side bus speed in your bios,or ya can take the plastic case of of your athlon 900,then buying a goldfinger device (freespeed pro) which allows u to change the multiplyers instead ,which can be purchased at www.highspeedpc.com,i think they have 2 choices :-) u might wanna consider getting a better hsf for your cpu also

ok, so that freespeed thing looks pretty dope, ill probably do that, but until i get it, how do you reccomend i bump up the speed? should i just change it gradually until it doesnt boot anymore, then back it off some? will this process involve me removing the real time clock from my board to reset the bios when i screw it up?:)

first off ,what is the bios version u are running right now,if stock i think it was 1005a.all i did before i got goldfinger device was raise fsb untill it would not post or go into windows and then backed it down one from last time that it posted and into windows. so when ya boot up pc hit delete key after it posts and then select advanced and u will see where to raise the frequency of your fsb.if it is at standard which equal 100 mhz click onto standard and select user definded, then hit enter, then click onto 100 mhz and a window pops up giving u chioces of fsb settings101,103,105 ect,try 101 and save ane see what it posts,i think the highest i was able to get was 110 without it freezing up 8)

bios is 1007
cool, yeah 110 brings me to 990mhz, so with that device that you mentioned i can go higher?
what then? i got a good heat sink with a 7000rpm fan, and temps are at 37celcius, but how hot should i go?, i really appreciate it!

just curious what hsf or fan ya have for your cpu.. mine only spins at 5000 rpm , if ya wanna try for more it's called a goldfinger device (gfd) as stated earlier , i said u would have to rip apart your athlon and take the black plastic cover off to attach gfd to pcb. this then viods warrentty of your cpu.take a look at www.highspeedpc.com., also check out the cpu database here at overclockers.com and this will give u an idea what u might be able to achieve, i don't know how much higher we can go on this motherboard we have

ill have to look when i get home, its generic i think, the heatsink is like gold, and the fan just spins hella fast
