I don't know the technical difference between blue and green cores, but the blues definately have a reputation for being more overclockable. I believe that it deals whit where thay were made, but there's something else to it also.

the blue ones are made at the Dresden FAB and have copper interconnects whereas the green ones are made at the Austin (I think.. its in Texas anyway) FAB and have aluminum interconnects. The blue ones are supposed to be able to go higher at lower temperatures than the aluminum ones.

i should be able to get more blue cores coz i live in germany. or are all amds send to a big "warehouse" somewhere on planet earth to distribute them from there?
that would be pretty sh*tty, no advantage for me.

People have made it a buisness to snag up blue cores while overseas and send them on home for a couple extra bucks. A buddy of mine in the army over there managed to get a dozen blue core 950's and got buddies back here in the states to pony up 20 bucks more each than he paid. Heck profit is profit :) too bad he told me AFTER he sold them all lol
