I think having a long url is a bit sucky. It makes it difficult to advertise. What were they thinking?

Yep, folding.stanford.edu was easy to remember. Now we have to remember all the subdirectories.

Im thinkin the same as the people above..color scheme is indeed nice, but the long URL is gonna kill me :p

The only thing i check on Stanford is for the most recent stats and how many CPU's are under a certain UN...coz i dont go to statsman :S

The reason why they moved the servers is to get them to a better spot. They are now located on the main servers at stanford thus a more reliable connection for the site.

lol, another big chance is to add some international sites ! but of course, SETI seems get much more translations !
I am the Chinese translator of both SETI and Folding.
China now got a lot of internet-connected computers, but most of them are just using Word or something like that, 99.99% CPU times are wasting! my aim is to let more chinese people know more distributed project info.

true, but the old address will automatically redirect to the new address in several seconds.

Anyway, I also think it's better to use the old address..
