Was wondering if anyone has sighted the blower fan used on the Aero 7+ coolermaster HS yet...I know a slower one was released but I want the one that comes on the Aero 7+ itself. OR...another fan of the same type available?

I'm waiting in anticipation too ;)
If they can just fix either the fact that they need more motor, or the loud noise those fans would rock!
The motor isn't a problem... We can always get more motor. I jsut hope they can get them quiet and maintain good flow.

I would love to test out the 70mm one on the Aero 7+ on my Aeroflow, would be interesting to see which performs better on the HS when the dead zone IS eliminated! ;)

Yeah. I would like to see one up against either of the big 60mm delta's.

I may hate the noise, but you have to respect them. They move air so fast! Not just the speed, but the force they move it out is astounding as well.

It'd be a good matchup.

Man I still have my Delta 60mm monster here in a box, tis the evil decible fan. I want a way to mount my 120mm Enermax on a heatsink the size of my 120mm Enermax, lol.

There is. It's called water cooling. :-) A 120mm heatsink really wouldn't work very well since it's so big that the heat can't spread through the metal well enough.

i bet it would work well on the aeroflow HS instead of a TMD (since it was designed for air to shoot down the middle and hit the copper plate then be forced out through the fins and absorb more.

Someone help me find some links on purchasing centrifugal blowers. All I'm pulling up is cheasy archaic electronics order .pdf files, and companies that only sell them for ENORMOUS applications.

Something with like 30-50CFM, and the outlet is square around 2-2.5" (80mm for the rest of the world). Size of the actual blower should be up to 120mm. Most of what I've found has a rectangular exit, and unusual dimensions (300mm x 10mm). Something more uniform, and square. Mounting can always be figured out by the user/purchaser. I just need something that fits my size and application. The CPU. :)

I would think blower will work VERY WELL with SLK heatsinks or any other tidely spaced fin heatsinks. these type of heatsink tend to produce large back pressure. Normal axiel fan will have hard time pushing the air through the heatsink.

By spec the blower has about 2X of air presure. So it should have much easier time push the air through those heatsinks.

I think it's like horsepower and torque type of thing.
cfm = horsepower air pressure = torque. Just my $0.02

this isnt quite what you asked for acid fly but it may work if you get two and set them up so the intakes are oposite eachother both blowing down onto the HSF. It would be 84 CFM at 28.6 dB. Woud it be in the right spot tho-it depends on your HSF if that would work. Im also intergued by the blower design and may have to get one.

Gee, I feel stupid for not even thinking to set them side by side, with opposite intakes. I am freaking tired. Did you have a link or something? Or where you referring to the Aero 7+'s blower?

The stacking gave me good ideas.. :) Thanks..

sorry im a t4rd today i ment to link ya, they are the width of a PCI slot after thinking some moure you would need four of these-these it would be someting like this, the arrow is the direction of intake and the line is the fan. They would be equally spaced over the top but this gives an idea. It would all depend on how quickily the air disperced from it's origination point.

whoops almost forgot linky again

these fans are much more efficient than the 70x70 but they dont fit well-you need to give them breathing room for intake yet you cant have big gaps in the airflow or the purpose is defeated. Useing log figures its around 30.6 db for all the fans combined and 168 aggregate CFM rating (actuall cfm will be lower but we always look at ratings so the scale should be the same except this is straight CFM rather than spiral w/dead zone.

o and edit im sure this would make a fairly loud whistle or whoosh through the fins though. I gotta go meet a friend and i only have my two feet, bbab.

nexfan.com sells those system exhaust fans for $3.99 each. Might have to buy 2 of them and see if I can mod them into a HS fan. But, anyone know anyplace selling the Aero7+ fan seperate? I know there is a 1900RPM one floating around but I want the full speed fan.

Notice it comes with a fan speed adjustment.
Go to pricewatch.com and punch Aero7 in their search engine and you'll find several vendors. I'd like to have just the fan, still looking.

Newegg has it but make DARN SURE you read the reviews before you order. The one they offer does not have the fan speed control. Here's two reviews for your consideration;

"The idea of this fan is pretty neat. But come on 1900rpm & 10.9cfm??? What the hell is that, like mentioned earlier why aren't the making the resistor variable?"

"Coolermaster decided to put a static resistor in the fan-only model, hence crippling it - the fan that comes with their heatsink can do 1900 ~ 4500rpm. This sucks. Please write to Cooler Master why you won't buy a crippled product."

10.9 CFM ain't much air a'tall and I think I'll wait for the fan speed control version to come out.
