Overclocking?....A Duron....Or a Tbird?....Aren't Duron's More Overclockable?..or something....But are TBirds Better...And I mean Like a 700-800Mhz CPU? Which would you think I could squeeze the most out of? With an Abit KT7A-Raid and WaterCooled....There's not a Huge Price difference...So I want to get the Most for my money. Any Suggestions? Any would be appreciated...Thank you

Durons will generally oc to somewhere between 1-1.1gig, usually closer to 1gig, regardless of what speed they're rated at. A tbird will give you better performance, and a 700 or 800 has a pretty good chance of a gig on the KT7a with watercooling. If you really want the thrill of being able to say '650@1000' get the duron, but if you can afford it and you're happy with '800@1000' get the tbird - it may even go higher. If you can afford it get the 1gig tbird, but otherwise a tbird 800 or thereabouts would do fine.

As Much as I would love to say have a 650 or 700 Duron at 1Gig would be nice....But I want to go for Which would be Fastest in the Long run. Durons are just so cheap it makes it a Hard decision. Damn AMD...Damn them to all Crap...Why did they have to make 2 Good ass Chips. Thanks for the Info Bro....Still not sure what I'm gonna do.....Durons are so Cheap, But TBirds have that Bit of extra Power. Thanks again man...Better Daze

If you need the larger L2 cache, the T-Bird is the way to go, otherwise a Duron should work fine for you.

What do you mean if I need the larger L2 Cache?...What exactly does that help in?....I mainly use my PC for Games With Graphic Programs Coming in a Close second....Sh*t with what I'm running now I'll be Happy with whatever I choose....I just want the One that Will Give me the Better Performance in the end...After being O/Ced....I just knew that Duron's O/C way High, but Tbirds are just a Bit better and Can be O/Ced pretty good too. Thanks for your guys' Help...Still unsure....Hard Decision. Thanks Though....And Keep Trying to Convince me which to get.

if you have the money to buy a T-Bird, why would you buy a Duron? In most tests the T-Bird has a fair lead clock for clock and in some it take the Duron 100+ MHz to catch up (I can't remember the site I saw the comparison or I'd refer to the specific tests, but as Tachyon mentioned, it would probably be any tests that stressed the L2 cache. Real-world you should see a definite advantage going to the T-Bird).
