I just bought a brand new system:

Amd Duron 700MHz Socket A
Gigabyte ATX Mainboard
256MB RAM 133MHz
30GB ATA-100 West-digital HDD
ATX Box with a fan on one wall
ATI ALL-IN-WONDER Radeon 32mb ddr memory
Creative live platinum 5.1 sound card
Pioneer 6x DVD
Floppy drive

Can I overclock this system from 700 to 1000MHz without needing extra cooling?

I think the ansver is NO, unless your cpu is willing to burr at 1000mhz at stock voltage, and you have already good hsf.

What are your temps? If they're in the low 40's then 1000 should be possible, but you'll probably have to raise the voltage to 1.85 to get there. Depends on the chip, I'd say 900-950 is more of a sure thing.
