What do you guys use to paint this type of cases? They look like the Antec one, I think they are easy to paint. Saw a lot of people paint their cases, is it expensive?

thank you.

I personally hvn't painted any cases, I am about to paint my monitor and an old supercase I have, but what I've seen here is alot of people sand the current finish to rough it up, then some suggest putting on a base coat/primer to give it a nice finish, then do several light coats sanding in between

then seal it all with a nice hard clear coat.

There is mention in the thread of a new type of paint by Krylon that supposedly works great with plastic.

I am currently looking for a source in Canada.

And..... Welcome to the Forums:)

I painted the front bezel of my case, which is plastic, and I just put on a coat of primer, sanded it lightly, added another primer coat, then put on two coats of paint. I used krylon paint I think, but I think any paint will work really ( you should still read the thread on painting). I would also suggest putting on some sort of clear coat that protects against scratching, as the outside of cases are open for wear and tear.

You should lightly sand the outside surface of your case first, then prime, then paint, then clear coat. Make sure to get rid of all sanding dust before priming, and you can wet sand with 2000 grit sandpaper between coats. There's a sticky with a good link it it about painting plastic cases.
