Ok, I have an old AT power supply that is never going to get used again, I'm not even sure how many watts it is. What I need to know is if there is any way I can use this as an AC-->DC Converter for things such as the electrolysis of water? I want to be able to use it for some science experiments, and I know a model train convertor would ideally be the best, but I don't have one, and I don't have the cash to buy a used one. So yeah, all I want to be able to do is electrolyze water, and maybe use it to make an electromagnet, you know, science stuff. Anyone know if this is possible, and what wires I would want to use and what not?

yes you could.

the red is +12 and the yellow +5 the others im not sure but LOTS of things use 12v... i have my old AT PSU hooked up to my car amp until ig et my car (i got the amp for free lol didnt buy in advance), and i have used one for electrolysis and a magnet:D

They're good for running a peltier.

suppose I could do that, but then again, I think the thing is pretty noisy in the fan area from being like 10 years old, and plus, I don't really want to get into pelts.
