I got a IS-7 and 2.4C CPU with Zalman CU, 1 3200 Samsung 512 stick CL3. Also Radeon 9700 and Seagate HD. BIOS are the same as delivered.

I have a problem with overclocking in General. It wont work safely. Running prime i can do up to FSB 240 but testing UT2003 crashes computer or starting up a game crashes also. It crashes also at 230 and 220 FSB.

Memory is set at SPD. Looking at the timings they change.
At default speed 200 FSB 1:1 they are 3-8-3-3
When going to 5:4 they change to SPD 2.5-6-3-3 (I dont think my memory can handle this). Now the most interesting thing is when setting them manually they change at bootup to 1:1 ratio and 3-8-3-3 and the system wont boot at 240 FSB.

I can't set timings manually.

Looking at the fixes in the new beta bios I cant find any fixes for this?
Is this the reason for my bad OC?

Upgrade to the new bios they did make fixes for the timings in manual for the IC7 not sure if they did the same on the IS7. Its worth a try.:)
