9600 Non-pro

anybody seen any reviews on this yet? I'm just curious i've seen them going for about $140 so it seems like a pretty good deal to me...

yes that is a good deal. the 9600 is supposed to do really good. I heard that the 9500 didnt do as good because it was basically a 9700 with some stuff ripped out, and performance wasnt optimized, yet the 9600 is good because it was designed specifically for the 9600. I think it is a great deal. it does have 128mb of mem dosent it?

The 9600 seems to have a superior clock and mem system even thoug its 128 bit. But the 9500 has lots of other things goin for it, better pixel shader and stuff. Its gonna be tuff deciding betweent eh two, they are pretty much the same price. But that was the 9600pro...not sure about the NP version, prolly just less clock/mem speeds rite?

yeah it has 128mb of memory the only thing the ati site says is that it does less pixels per second so i would assume its basically a 9600 pro clocked down which means it should be able to oc at least somewhat decently.
