I have a 1Ghz T-Bird on abit kt7 mobo. when i up the FSB and use sandra it says that my ram speed is upped too much.. how high can i raise the fsb and have the memory not go ape****? thanks guys
Most PC 133 is rated for at least 143 and most will do 150. Do you have CAS 2 or CAS 3. If you overclock CAS 2, you may need to drop it back to CAS 3. Run Sandra with both and see what results you get. I'm running PC100 at 133, but I had to drop from CAS 2 to CAS 3. I think you will find once you have overclocked the memory, the performance difference between CAS 2 and 3 will be minimal and actually negated by being able to run the FSB faster.
K7T Pro 2-A
850 T-Bird @ 1Ghz
128 MB PC100 @ 133
WD 18 Gig 7200 RPM
