I'm planning to get a 1.2 T-bird, soon, or maybe just wait until 1.3 or even 1.4's....
anways, what are some good mobo's for O/C'ing? And what are some good heatsinks? overclockers.com 's reviews are messy and unorganized.
i don't want my mobo to have sound, as I plan to use a good sound card, RAID is fine either way, as I have a promise raid card anways.
Also, I hear that on some T-birds the pencil trick screws it up and makes it not boot??? Any reason for this? Rubbing alchohol should do the trick shoudln't it to fix it?
Also whats the difference between blue and green T-birds?

An Abit, Asus, or MSI are your best bet

Use a pencil or Conductive pen... :)

Blue's have a better rep for higher overclock
good mobos: asus a7v133 or abit kt133a-raid.
good hsf: alpha pep66t or pal6035, and globalwin fop38. i personally would use the delta 38cfm fan on those, but some peeps opt for lower powered, quieter fans.
most, if not all, recent 1.2ghz tbirds are factory unlocked, so wait and see.
the green cores come from austin, texas, and use aluminium construction, whereas the blue ones are from dresden, germany, and use copper. the blue ones overclock much better than the green ones.

WHATS THE PENCIL TRICK?

Thats the trick where you take a standard, number 2 (HB lead) pencil and sharpen it till you can't take it anylonger, then try and draw across the L1 bridges on your cpu... if they are cut. It has evolved into the popular "rear-window defogger kit trick" and the infamous "connective pen trick" They all do the same thing - unlock the processor so that you can mess with the multiplier settings and, hopefully, clock it higher than before.
The fop 38, or a Alpha with a Delta fan works well
