my friend has a 900 mhz tbird @ 1.02 ghz w/ gigabyte ga-7zx-1 mobo. He try's to up the processor to the next setting which is 1.035 but it wont run, would inscreasing the core voltage help..im fairly new and i haven't had to do this on my system yet, any comments would be much appreciated. thanks yo!

Is the multiplier unlocked? If not you need to unlock it with the pencil trick: http://www.athlonoc.com/unlocking.htm

I expect you're using the fsb to oc, in which case you won't get much higher, and you're already at 113MHz, the next setting being 115MHz - am I right? That's pretty damn high for a KT133 board, most become unstable around 110 - so you'll need to unlock the multiplier to go higher. If I'm wrong, post with a bit more info about multiplier/fsb settings, temps etc - I'm sure it'll go higher :-)
