Hi everybody!
First off, is my first post in this forum and as you will see, my English is terrible, so sorry in advance! :-)
My problem is that I'm looking for a good cpu for my just purchased Abit KT7a. Of course I will get it to the top the second after it's plugged on the board :-) I know that the 800Mhz version is very nice to overclock, but due to the prices I can get in my country, the difference among the 800, 850 and 900Mhz Tbird is really slight. 1 Ghz version is other story ;-) But the other ones are really cheap now in Europe. So, what should I do? I will look for a "blue core" as if it would be my girlfriend lost in the Amazonas (hmmm... well thought is a very bad example! ;-D), but which one? Will I be able to get 1.1 Ghz easily? I don't see many reports about the 900 model... only 800 and 850 (most of them doesn't get the Ghz with air cooling!). I'm pretty lost with AMD overclocking... I've only been working with o'clocked coppermines from the past 3 months. More details of my system: 256 ram PC133 cas2, SB Live 5.1, U-SCSI PCI controller, 100/10 PCI Lan card, Geforce DDR 32MB. The cooling method will be the Globalwin Fop32-1 heatsink.
Thank you people!! :-)
