Alright... i've read through the entire thread in Cyber Deals, but haven't found what I'm looking for, so maybe you guys can help me out.
Can anyone guarantee me that I can dual boot with Win2k Pro, which is already installed? I cannot, repeat, cannot, install Win2k again, so I need to know for sure before I try it.
Thanks guys, hope to get it up and running soon, I'm downloading it right now.

It should work, but as I haven't tried it I can't guarantee it will :D
You could always just ghost your Win2K install so in case the 2K3 install screws everything up then you can just restore.

I installed winxp pro then server 2003 enterprise edition on another partition no worries. It created a boot screen similar to my old win98/winxp combo but with server 2003 and win xp

Alright... can someone explain more about "ghosting." I'm assuming you mean Norton Ghost, but what exactly does it do.
For example: Say I can't boot into anything, all OSes are messed up. Do I just pop in the cd I created, and it automatically restores my Hard Drive to how it was when I backed it up?
Or do you have to be able to boot into Windows first?

Norton Ghost works from DOS. Basically you boot to DOS and run Ghost. The software allows you to create an exact image of any partition on your hard drive. You can then burn the image to a CD. If you need to restore it then you run Ghost again and go through the procedure to restore the image. At my last job we had mostly the same model Dell Optiplex computers. I used to Ghost images of specific configurations for and store them on a network server. Then if I had a hard drive crash I just put a new drive in, booted with my DOS network disk, and restored the image from across the network. :D

I can almost 100 percent guarantee this. I helped my friend dual boot with her windows 2k pro and server 2k3.
But incase stuff gets hosed my guarantee sticks @ almost 100 percent :D

I tried w2k3 on the third partition of a 98se & w2kpro installation. I believe w2k3 hosed the FAT on the C:\ win98 partition so nothing would boot after that. No repair would work for w2k or w2k3. Ended up just reinstalling on a fresh HD. Next time I try w2k3, I'll mirror the HD and then install w2k3 on the third partition again.
This was on an Abit NF7-S mobo and AMD XP1700 Tbred-B that wasn't overclocked at the time.
Moral of this story: Backup first before you attempt install.

Yes, you can do it. I did it. I'm dual booting 2K Pro and 2K3 Server. I just installed 2K3 on the free space at the end of my drive.
