hey there... i am not being an ass when i say this but i think that the reason you havent gotten a responce is because that is a stupid question that you can easily answer for yourself. if i were you i would try AMD's website... or try running a search on google. if after some good effort you still cant find what you are looking for send me an email and i give you a hand. just remember that if you are going to get into overclocking YOU need to do ALOT of reading. go to the home page of this site, we have TONS of good guides, and after you have read the articles and are familiar with the terminology come back here to ask specific questions. good luck and always remember to try to find an answer yourself.

If you read MR Murphy's post in the other thread you should get the idea.

I disagree with the rude comment made by the first dude

Also THE FIRST, T-BIRDS WERE A {SLOT PROCESSOR WITH AN ON BOARD L2 CACHE !!}

tO LOOK AT THE PROCESSOR IS OF NO HELP TO SOMEONE WITH A LATE MODEL SLOT PROCESSOR,,,,,IF THE PROCESSOR YOU HAVE IS A 950 OR 1000 MADE LATE IN 2000 IT MOST LIKELY WILL BE A T-BIRD IN THE SLOT STYLE !!!!

The only way to be sure is to look and see whether it says 'Athlon, 512k cache' ('classic' athlon) or 'Athlon, 256k cache' (tbird). Most vendors call the tbirds athlons, hence the confusion. Look for the amount of cache it has, that'll tell you. Also, you can't get socket A athlons, so if it's socket A, it's a tbird :-)
