The only thing I haven't changed is my baby k6-2....

The cpu works creat in windows environment and so..but how do I get it any faster then 450? the idle temp of the cpu is around 30 Celsius -- 50..When I tried to get it to 475..500 , no ****ing way..this baby wont that for any thing in the world..so...?

Sorry, the K6-2 is a terrible overclocker. Get yourself a K6-2+ or K6-III+. They are inherently faster due to their advanced on-die cache setups, and are 0.18u chips that can O/C to 600 MHz and beyond. The best deal now is over at Tiger Direct where you can pick up a K6-2+ 450 for only $45. It'll do 600 MHz easy on the right mobo.

Your Epox mobo will work with the 4/12/00 bios provided you have the 2MB BIOS. The K6-III+ 450 performs a little better but are in short supply. But they have them here for $64.
