I have a FOP 38 with one of those delta fan that give this high pitch noise. Sure teh performance is great but its getting a bit annoying. My question is, are there any fans out there that is less noisy or atleast not high pitch that will yield equal or better performance? ANd it fits on the FOP 38?

Great question. Don't have the answer myself, but I do have an FOP 38 fan and YES it is annoying. Even worse, I do audio recording to my PC, and although I have yet to do mic recording on this system, I'm a bit worried that when I mic my piano its ognna pick up the fan noise...obivously there are acoustical ways around that, but still...the fop38 is very loud.

Head on over to the cooling section, there is lots of info on the FOP38. I have one, and yes it is pretty loud. The way I see it, you have about three options,
1. A Sanyo Denki Fan - Less CFM, Less RPM, Less Noise, Less Cooling
2. A 5v/12v Toggle switch - Full CFM,RPM,Noise and cooling when you need it, or Less of the above and quiet when you don't need it.
3. Fandapter - 80mm fan and adapter/faring - Almost same CFM, Less RPM, Less Noise, Same cooling.

Definitly check out the threads in the cooling section if you haven't already.

I have the FOP38 as well and it is noisy! (but it cools very well). The FOP32 seems to cool a bit less but it is much quieter.
