cold cathode

just got 2 cold cathode blue light and was wandering wot i could do with them their in my pc now wit a sound beat sensor
anything else i can do???

I don't know much else you can do with cold cathodes. I'm assuming you have a window in your case :p. You could try searching this section for cold cathodes, and see what ideas you come up with.

There's not much else you can do with cathodes... well not that i've seen anyway.

I've got 1 idea though.

Get two different colored cathodes. Have one on by default, and the other off. Rig it up so that when the bass hits, the other cathode turns on and the first one turns off. Your case would change colors with the music :D.

you could use your current sound activator, and have it power one like normal. Then make a circuit that only powers the other cold cathode, when it isn't getting power. So when it is getting power, the cold cathode will be off. < if that makes any sense :p

use a relay to do the color-changing thing, that'd be cool. or you could put all of it inside your sub and have a flashing sub :)

Where did you buy them from? I placed an order for a red/blue cc yesterday.. Hoping it don't turn out like that...
