I dont know what it is but when i tried to install my water block on my newly built p4 system my computer turns on and does nothing, the monitor led blinks, i tried unplugging everything but the video card and power supply plug and still the same happens.
Then i tried installing my old rig into a new case for my sister to use and i get the same problem, both systems are using different power supplies and different videocards, someone please tell me theres a way to fix this, I already shipped my mobo and cpu back to newegg to get it repaired, i dont wanna buy another mobo for my sisters rig. please help!!
What components are the same between the two?

Did you use any old componenets in the new rig? If it is all new components, then you have to treat the two rigs as seperate and troubleshoot them seperately.

yeah i done in my old board with static electricity, or thermal compound somewhere!
I'm always very careful now
Are you using the four hole mounts, or lug mounts?
Metal bolts or nylon (washers too)?
Check carefully to make sure that no parts are getting shorted by the mounting hardware.
I'd also found that one case I had shorted a tiny component on the backside of the motherboard. The case used the dimples instead of the brass standoffs, and the large dimples grounded that one component keeping the system from coming on.
A couple layers of electrical tape solved that one, but it sure was hard to figure out.
Hope ya get it running, bud.
