Seems like I'm just back here again, eh?
Did a lil painting on the computer chassis last night. I think it turned out pretty cool... looks even better in person... a $30 pencam from walmart just isn't cutting it for my picture taking ordeals.
I like the red in silver look... :D

Great paintjob man. What type of paint did you use?

DupliColor Metalcast groundcoat and then the red anodized surface coat. :)

Sounds good to me. Did you go for a mirror finish? I can't tell if it's mirrored or not.

oooh red is perty
The paintjob is good, but you gotta work on the inside of the case. Throw some led fan's and wire management.

yea, you need to show that sucker off, that's a nice paintjob.
I'm wondering if all you want is some white LEDs so you don't ruin the color of the inside.
that looks great though, the metallic look of the case and the deep red of the inside goes great together. I would hesitate to put any colored CCFLs in there, heh. Like I said, you might just want to use some white LEDs.

NICE Job, came out better than my Gold one I did last year. What do you mean by Red Adonized Suface coat? I didn't think you could adonized after painting or you painted the case and adonized the chassis?

The silver case is the factory job. Its pretty fisheyed, but hey, it was a $35 case from tigerdirect. The red inside is what I created. The ground coat and red anodized look are both from spray bombs. I didn't really need the ground coat (a.k.a. Primer under a different name) but I wanted it to shine the most. What you see is 2 coats of ground, and then about 3 coats of the red. Total time taken was about 2 hours to paint all the peices. I'm not very patient... but it *did* come out quite well. I really like the metal cast Duplicolor because it is extremly shiney without clearcoat or polish.
I'm thinking about getting some chrome wireloom from autozone and tidying up the wires. I did have them all organized, but in reassembling the case I didn't want to re-attach them behind the mobo. I'm thinking of taking the spare molex (the p4 and the other molex) and clipping them off within the PSU and making sure the wires dont ground out inside there. As for lights... Considering I have around 50 on the truck, I'm sure a couple in the computer cant hurt.
Looks nice regardless! It'll look even nicer after you tidy up the wires =)
