Vantec Aeroflow problem

Does anyone here with a vantec aeroflow have a small imprint right in the middle of the copper plug? I have this imprint, it's about 1mm in diameter, and I was wondering if it always comes like this, or if mine is just a bad one I should return.

They all come like that. its from there machining process.

I lapped mine and got rid of it.

Did lapping it make a big difference in overclocking/temps?
