486 HSF for a Ti4200

I used a 486 HSF on my GF2MX. I think it should do if you can figure out a way to mount it. :)
 
To take off the old one, look if it is clipped, screwed, rivited in any way, and undo any of those. If it isn't, it should just twist off.
 
yeh I agree with pip(fellow ninja) a 486 hs is not very good! You might just want to buy a hole new Geforce 4 HSF.

I would think that it would be overwhelmed quickly. I'm not sure on that heatsink, but pull the entire thing off so you can work with it. Then you can do whatever!

2 things about HS's for video cards:
1) Zipties
2) Epoxy

Really you can use one or the other or both to just slap another fan around the same stregnth on there.
