I am modding my vid card, trying to put a new HSF on it. But I ran into a problem. I removed the two plastic pins on the HS to the PCB but it still won't come off. It will twist a little bit, but i am afraid to twist too hard, or shouldi pull or pry at it? IS there anything i need to do once i get the HSF off? or just apply the epox and the new sink.

thanks

just twist it off...its the thermal adhesive thats holding it on..make sure the fan is unplugged though..then get off the old **** (may need sandpaper) and put on new

Some people reccomend puttin it in the freezer for a few minutes before removing it. Just don't try to run it until the condensation has evaporated.
