For sure this week im getting this badboy. So what do you all think of it ? goodbuy ? Hardocp just posted a review of it and i loved the Overlockers.com review. buying it on friday , i bet it will be sold out again from newegg. like the 3rd time man

Well this might belong in the watercooling forum. I'd say if you're looking for a easy portable WC setup that'll beat HSF units, then this will work good.

If you're looking for a little bit more of extreme cooling, then you should make your own setup for around the price of the Hydrocool.

Since it's only cooling the CPU, you could also make your own setup that'll fit in your computer that you can transport easily since you could bolt everything down.

ok whats the best Water cooling system right now and where do i buy it ? :p

By far the best way is to piece a system together yourself. Head on in to the water cooling section and you'll find lots of info there.

anyone know sites i can put it together? i want to buy all from one site , thanks

I'm not much for piece mealing a complete water cooling system together for the sake of time and headaches. The HydroCool 200 may help avoid this and save my sanity. Besides, getting everything from one source can only help, ... maybe.

The review on [H] said this thing was worse/louder than the koolance systems.... DEFINTELY go to D-Tek and piece one together yourself.

I'm satisfied with my Hydrcool experience. After reading the reviews at HardOCP, I see that they used their own thermal grease and applied it incorrectly ... painting on a layer too thin to do any good. They also claimed the block was concave based on their "grease pattern" technique ... I measured my block and it was flat within 0.001"!

I suspect HardOCP copped an attitude in advance that Koolance was better and made sure the tests came out that way. When properly installed and the supplied grease used, I found the Hydrocool to perform better than Koolance by several degrees.

I don't know how the Hydrocool would perform compared to a "killer" system pieced together from D-Tek, but I think it's worth a look if you're already considering a Koolance.

I wouldn't trust someone that makes memory to make a good water cooling setup, just like I wouldn't trust Honda designing tires.

For that price you could build a better one, god forbid we did some legwork, trust me, it'll pay off.

iirc it's by a cooling specialist.... indeed it is: delphi systems.

you could certainly build yourself a much better one, but if you haven't got the time/skills to do so it's about the best off the shelf external solution afaik...
interesting review of it here

And I wouldn't trust Firestone making memory, actually, I don't trust them making tires either ... make my next tires "Hondas":p
