I would like some tips on case Modding.
I want to put a window in my pc but the computer companies that are near me dont supply windows kits. So I thought i would build my own.
Whats is the best stuff to use for the window?
Also what should i use for the window frame?(The hole that i am going to cut out)
I am new to modding so any help would be great
I'd say dremel, and get some cheap Lexan from Home Depot.
What case do you have?

You have a world of possibilities open to you :)
You can buy a kit online, although shipping to South Africa may be expensive.....
You can go to a local glass shop or hardware store (many carry plexi and lexan) and see what they have. Any place that stocks plexi may do custom sizes- and the pieces we use for case windows are often easy to get from drops that are too small for most uses, therefore may be cheap or even free.
As for mounting: again you have many choices!
You can buy the grommet material that comes in most window kits
or
you can go with the "Industrial" look and use screws or rivets through the side panel to hold the window in
or
you can glue/epoxy the window in place
or
you can use self adhesive Velcro tabs to hold the window in (a method I am pretty fond of....)
And I am sure there are even more that I have not listed.
Your needs and imagination are the only things that really decide which is best for you!
Have fun and post pics when you are done :D
