Ok....... what do u think.
I have my black antec case. Which i am watercooling.
Inside i am thinking of using a dual cathode one being green probably and the oher being UV.
Anyone used UV and regular lite and still get good black light affects.
Basically i wanna make my dye light kinda glow. But dont know if i would just like the lighting of UV only or i would just go for dual uv.
The dye i have now is green.
Welll just thought i would get some feedback :)

i would think the light from the green cathode would wash out whatever effects you get from the uv cathode. in my dorm, we had several bottles filled with high lighter fluid, and looked great under the uv light alone. but with the other lights on, it looked less dramatic, so i would expect the same with the green dye in your computer

Light from the colored cathodes is so bright, it pretty much just washes out the florescent effect. The glow really isn't very bright so it's only visible in dark light.

yeah thats what i figured.. maybe i am gonna just have to hook these up seperate... so when i am in the mood for UV i can have that or i can flip the switch for the light.
I really like look of a bright cathode so not sure i will be happy with just uv
thanks :D

My cathodes I got from www.coolerguys.com have switches to turn them on or off.
you would think the other ccfl's would drown out the u/v ccfl but they don't. I have a purple (actually comes out white :|) ccfl and a UV ccfl and the uv still sticks out. i have a couple uv fans and they glow nicely under the uv. i keep both ccfl's on. its really a matter of placement of the uv ccfl. right now both my lights are laying on the bottom of my case and the uv fans on the back light up nicely. but would do better if i moved the uv light closer to the back.
you should be fine with 1 green and one uv ccfl.

I have noticed that my blue cold cathode drowns out the UV light i have in my room (the 12" kind that are made to light up entire rooms). Anywhere the blue light shines, i don't see the UV effects. You could get them both, but i would have it rigged up so you could turn the green on during the day, and the uv on during the night.
