I have searched and such around the formums with no real luck.
I want to cut a 2.5" x 1.5" into a drive bay cover. I have two spare to play with. How should i go about doing this? I have a dremel and the skillz to use it. (www) I just want it to look good not like it was hacked with a hand saw.

i believe the dremel would be the first choice..probably using a small worn disc for the short cuts....i'm sure a hacksaw would work well too..but after each, you're going to have to file and sand it down to get that smooth look..

ok i used the diamond cutting wheel and it did not work well. does anyone have any know-how on this subject?
Id recommend a powered nibbler. Longer, but easier IMHO from what Ive heard, though I wont have a chance to start cutting up my PC-60 until August :eh?:

I would use a 'figure saw' (Don't know the English word, but it's similar to a bow saw or a coping saw...you get the idea), it doesn't take long with the right blades, and if you take your time you can get close to perfect w/o filing.
I also suggest your drill a small (1mm orso) hole at each corner (not too close...everything that's gone wont come back;) ).
