Hey, I'm new to these forums and to overclocking for that matter and i'd like some help tweaking my new system!

Here are the specs of my new rig:

Althon XP2500+
Thermaltake Volcano 11 CPU Fan
Asus A7N8X-X mobo
2*DDR400 PC3200 Kingston CL2.5 RAM
Sapphire ATI Radeon 9600PRO 128MB
Aopen H600B 300W ATX Tower

I'd like to know if there are any members of these forums with a similar rig, and if so, what are u safely pushing out of your system?

I'd also like to know the exact values of each parameter in the BIOS that I need to change.....

Cheers in advance for your help :)

Hi there spam boy.

i have a similar setup like yours. here is wat im currently running at 24/7.

SPECS: XP2400+@3200+(200x11)1.75V stock HSF
Idle - 32C Load - 43C
ASUS A7N8X-X Mobo
1x512MB PC3200 Kingston value ram @ 2-3-2-6 2.7V
Radeon 9700np
Sb audigy 1

I've upped my fsb to 200 and im currently stable @ 200*11.5 (2.3Ghz) and i'm pretty happy with that (ran the 'Burn In' util in Sandra for 2 hrs and played Enter The Matrix for another 2 hrs with no hint of instability).

With the Thermaltake Volcano 11, idle temps are approx 30-32 and under 100% load its hitting around 42-43 at the lowest fan speed setting.

I might try changing the multiplier to 12 and see what happens. Either way going from 1.84 (std) to 2.3 has made a huge difference in my benchmark results :)

Cheers for the help ppl.

try running prime95 for awhile. I could loop sandra burn-in continually at 200x12 (2400) but it would crash as soon I started prime95. I'm at 200x11.5 right now at 1.70V vore.
