I have a palm 3x that I can take apart. The screen is craked  and the touch screen doesn't work. I just want to use it to displace temps (motherboard monitor) and winamp info thanks

Good luck. I'd like to know how this turns out because I have a few old palms, and this is something I would be interested in doing, too, if it is possible. :)

That interests me too... I have one of the fist springboard whatevers that was supposed to compete with palm. It runs on palm OS, but drains batteries in like 2 hours so I never use it.

Would be cool to flush mount it into the desk and have it display temps and winamps and maybe even use it as another type of input device :D

I made it work with an ancient LCD TV. http://forum.oc-forums.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=202935 The 2-inch TV is actually running a full 1024x768 desktop under Samurize.

At closer look, I don't think this palm will work. The screen won't respond to anything. I may be able to buy my dad's palm 7 which works fine. any idea on getting this to work?
